PSRF Grant success

The ACVT was recently awarded two grants from the Premier’s Science and Research Fund:

A $590,000 grant for an aerial and satellite imagery exploitation program:

Led by Professor Anton van den Hengel from the University of Adelaide, this project aims to develop capability in modern aerial and satellite image processing, and will initially focus on extracting information on carbon content in vegetation.

and a $420,000 grant for plant image analysis, which will accelerate work to develop stress-tolerant crops:

Led by Associate Professor Desmond Lun from the University of South Australia, this project aims to assist South Australia’s agricultural economy to adapt to climate change.
