We’re in the top 5 groups in the world

The IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) is double blind reviewed (on full papers), and has the best citation rate in the field of computer vision and pattern recognition, according to the h5-index, a citation measure for the recent five years. The two best journals (PAMI and ICCV) rank second and third, respectively. CVPR also ranks 6th in the category of Engineering & Computer Science, and it is the highest-ranked venue in Computer Science.

We had 12 papers accepted last year, and 15 accepted this year, which puts us at 4th in the world in the list of papers per group.

  1. Carnegie Mellon University 23
  2. Tsinghua University, China 17
  3. Microsoft Research 17
  4. University of Adelaide 15

It’s obviously only one measure, but it’s a good one.
