¬†Australian School of Petroleum PhD Candidate, John Counts, has been selected as an award recipient for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Foundation Grants-in-Aid Program. John will receive $2500 towards his PhD research, thanks to the Nancy Setzer Murray Memorial Grant for his work in “Stratigraphy and sedimentology of a late Neoproterozoic shelf-slope system, Flinders Ranges, South Australia: an excellent outcrop analogue for marginal marine to deepwater transitions in the subsurface”.

Michael Gray, PhD Candidate at the Australian School of Petroleum¬†has been awarded the Hugh Crocker Scholarship for his project in Formation Evaluation “Evaluation of seal Potential for carbon dioxide storage in the present day near-shore coastal zone: Gippsland Basin, Australia”

Michael will present his work later in the year at a FESAust Technical Meeting.
