2017 Science Awards: Nominations now open

The state’s most prestigious science awards are back and we need your help to find our brightest scientists, researchers and educators.The 2017 South Australian Science Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of talented individuals, including recent PhD graduates and science and technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals who have made a significant contribution in their field of research.The Awards also honour the state’s leading science and maths teachers who continue to inspire our next generation of STEM leaders.

Nominations are invited in one of the following categories:

  • South Australian Scientist of the Year
  • PhD Research Excellence
  • STEM Professional
  • Excellence in Research Collaboration
  • STEM Educator of the Year (School Teaching)
  • STEM Educator of the Year (Tertiary Teaching)

We’ll be hosting an information session on Monday, 10 April at 11 Waymouth Street, Adelaide to provide you with tips and information on how to submit a successful application. Register now.

The South Australian Scientist of the Year will receive a prize to the value of $25,000 and winners of all other categories will receive a prize to the value of $10,000.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, 11 August at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
