Marketing Graduate Finalist in News Limited 2011 Australian Young Lions Competition
Marius Zanin, 23 years old, graduated with a Bachelor of Marketing in 2009, and has recently been announced as a finalist in the 2011 News Limited Young Lions competition. The competition encourages the best young advertising talent in the country to compete across the Media, Print and Digital categories. Open to entries from each state, the national competition challenges young professionals at the start of their careers in the media, advertising and marketing communications industry.
After graduating from University in 2009, Mr Zanin went to Europe to gain experience before approaching a number of agencies on his return. BLACK Sheep Advertising director Simon O’Brien’s “punt” on hiring 23-year-old Marius Zanin in November, and is already counting his returns!
“At the moment I’m an account executive booking media, making the work go through to creatives, making the clients happy … there’s something different happening every day,” Mr Zanin said.
The Adelaide University marketing graduate and Black Sheep account executive is one of only three South Australian finalists in the competition. The final eighteen in Australia will represent the country at the worldwide Young Lions Competition held in Cannes as part of The International Festival of Creativity.
