For our final event of the year, the Confucius Institute together with the University of Adelaide’s Art & Heritage Collections presents a Cultural Musing:

Food Exchange: A Chinese-Australian Experience

Please join us in listening to three Australian speakers, with a good deal of experience in China, tell their stories and present fresh ways of thinking about Chinese-Australian food exchange:

  • Emeritus Professor Andrew Watson will speak about ‘Food and Society in Contemporary China’
  • Alfredo Forte will speak about ‘My Italian Experience in China’
  • Dr Gerry Groot will talk about ‘Chinese Cookbooks in Australia: the unexpected, the exotic, the affordable and being part of a global publishing system’
