A/Prof Katrina Falkner Receives Distinguished Service Award

The Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia, CORE, has jointly awarded Associate Professor Katrina Falkner, Head of the School of Computer Science, The 2017 John Hughes Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding leadership in Computer Science education. The other joint recipient of the award is Professor Justin Zobel of the University of Melbourne, for his many years as an outstanding leader of Computer Science locally, nationally and internationally, including a period of service as President of CORE

CORE, is an association of university departments of computer science in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to 2004 it was known as the Computer Science Association, CSA. The awards will be presented at Australasian Computer Science Week 2017 in Geelong, which runs from the 1st to 3rd of February.
