New Honours Project: Sami Peachey joins CSER

We welcome Sami Peachey to the CSER team, as she undertakes her Honours project study.

Sami will work on automated group formation algorithms – forming successful groups for collaborative work is a difficult issue, and can be very time consuming for academics. In this project Sami will develop a range of algorithms for forming groups under different conditions: considering different types of collaborative tasks, large-scale courses involving widely distributed students, and considering different selection factors, such as GPA, past activity levels or preference for work time.

Within this project Sami will gain experience in the use of different clustering algorithms, as well as being guided by latest research into appropriate factors to be taken into account when forming groups.
