CSER’s very own Associate Professor Katrina Faulkner has just been announced as the joint winner of the 2017 John Hughes Distinguished Service Award. Awarded by CORE, the Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia, it recognises outstanding service in the IT community. In particular, Katrina was recognised for her outstanding leadership in Computer Science education.

Justin Zobel is the joint award winner for his role as an outstanding leader in Computer Science, locally, nationally and internationally, including a period of service and President of CORE.

They will receive their awards during Australian Computer Science Week in Geelong, 1-3 February 2017.
