CSER Digital Technologies Tour across Tasmania

Kat TAS trip photoAssociate Professor Katrina Falkner and Dr Nick Falkner, together with Peter Lelong, CSER’s Tasmanian Project Officer, have been enjoying the opportunity to work with educators around Tasmania this week.

The team have been working with over 180 educators in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Queenstown. Events have focussed on supporting schools with implementation of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies via interactions with the CSER MOOCs and face to face workshops.

Teachers from government, catholic and independent schools have participated in the events, with regional participation via Skype for those who weren’t able to travel.

Katrina and Nick have also had the opportunity to work with school leaders on the implications for meaningful integration of the Digital Technologies curriculum into schools, for example discussing solutions for creating appropriate areas within schools to support student engagement with maker spaces.
