CSER Digital Technologies Immersion Program (WA)

Join us for a 2 day CSER Digital Technologies Immersion Program in Doubleview WA on the 6th and 7th December, hosted by Catholic Education Western Australia, open to all teachers.
This two-day event will allow teachers and school leaders to understand the WA Digital Technologies curriculum and prepare for its implementation. Attendees will have time to work through the CSER MOOC Pre-Primary – Year 6. Digital Technologies involves learning about how we can create new technologies, as well as use them. This course will explain the fundamentals of digital technology and computational thinking specifically addressing the learning objectives of the West Australian Digital Technologies curriculum (Pre-Primary to 6). Join us to learn about how digital technology can be integrated into your classroom, exploring example lesson plans, and helping form a community designed to share resources and support!

Outcomes:
Understand the place of Digital Technologies in the WA Curriculum.
Develop understanding of the fundamental concepts of the Digital Technologies curriculum.
Be able to teach Computer Science and Computational Thinking at primary school level.
Experience a range of Digital Technologies activities that relate to familiar classroom activities.
Know where to find resources and support to help with planning and implementation.
