2011 ZEN eChallenge Team Represents at MEGA

Congratulations to 2011 ZEN eChallenge semi-finalists FoodCloud on coming runner up in the MEGA SA Pitch Day Best Pitch category.

MEGA offers a business challenge and a series of entrepreneurial master classes for “individuals and teams who would like to expand their creative, technical and business skills by creating new digital products and services for global markets”. The MEGA SA Pitch Day was held on July 15 with 7 teams presenting to an audience of 100 people.

Paul Daly, ECIC alumni, ThIncLab Manager, and Principle of technology commercialisation company Babelshark Consulting, chairs the MEGA Working Group. He notes that the members of the Pitch Panel endorsed this year’s Pitch Day as the best yet in MEGA’s 6 year history. Paul also comments on the links between MEGA and the ZEN eChallenge:

“MEGA complements the ZEN eChallenge in supporting the development of new venture opportunities in Adelaide. Many presenters, mentors and judges work with both programs and there have been quite a few teams that have been through both programs refining their business plans and pitches in the process.”

Next on the 2011 ZEN eChallenge agenda is the Venture Showcase, a special event for teams to showcase their concepts to a gathering of 150-200 people. Guests include sponsors, judges, mentors, workshop presenters, and academics, as well as people from the Adelaide business community.  Best of luck to FoodCloud and all the other semi-final teams involved in this year’s ZEN eChallenge, we look forward to exploring your business concepts at the Venture Showcase!
