Timothy Horton – Commissioner for Integrated Design – Department of the Premier and CabinetSince 2010, South Australia has been the test site for a new model of design-led planning for Australia’s urban centres involving all spheres of government in a unique partnership. This model is a prototype for integrated decision making – one that combines community values & aspirations with the priorities of national, state and local government; informed by evidence and tested through design.Outcomes and recommendations are to be further tested in a public exhibition from 15-26 October, with a final Strategy document to be finalised at the end of 2012.
