Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership

Applications are now open for the Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership, sponsored by the Origin Foundation and supported by ASF. This scholarship, along with our hundreds of other scholarships, is designed to boost the long-term leadership and management capacity of the Australian NFP sector.

The Scholarship
The Fulbright Scholarship, valued at $40,000, is a unique opportunity for an emerging NFP leader (and possibly his or her family) to travel in the United States for up to four months to study and conduct research into leadership and the operations of US non-profit sector organisations.  This is a terrific opportunity to gain experiential learning by visiting organisations as well as attending a course in the US.

The Application
Applications are now being accepted for 2013 and will close on 20 August 2012.  The application process requires a detailed proposal requiring time to research and prepare, so if you are thinking about applying I encourage you to get started now.

For more details on application criteria and FAQs please visit the ASF website or the Fulbright Commission’s website to apply.

About the Fulbright Program and Alumni
The Fulbright Program is one of the largest and most prestigious educational and cultural exchange programs in the world. It was established in 1949 and now operates between the United States and over 155 countries worldwide.  The Australian-American Fulbright Commission has supported over 2,700 Australians to study in the US. This is an amazing opportunity to join the prestigious Fulbright Alumni worldwide. Many Fulbright scholars attest to the life-changing effects of winning a scholarship and ASF is proud to be working with its Partners, the Origin Foundation and the Australian–American Fulbright Commission, in offering this opportunity to leaders of Australian NFPs.
