Volunteer Tutors needed: develop your confidence, leadership and communication skills through The Smith Family’s Learning Club program.

The Smith Family are a national independent children’s educational charity. We believe that education transforms lives. We operate in 94 communities nationally, and our Learning Club program provides school students from disadvantaged backgrounds with assistance on their homework and development of literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills.

We need volunteer tutors for our high school clubs, especially tutors skilled in STEM! If you remember what it was like to be in high school, and want to help other students to overcome barriers to succeed in their futures, why not get involved?

This is a great chance to develop your employability skills, contribute to the community, and gain a reference. All it takes is 1.5 hours a week to make a big difference for yourself and for others.

Learning Clubs operate during the school terms:

  • Monday – Gepps Cross (3.20 – 4.30pm)
  • Wednesday – Semaphore (3.15 – 4.00pm)
  • Thursday – Woodville (3.15 – 4.30pm)
