Are you interested in new automotive and electrical technology? Do you want to be part of a group environment designing and manufacturing an electric car? If so, then AUMT is the place for you!

AUMT, the Adelaide University Motorsport Team, is the University of Adelaide’s Formula SAE team, a group of students designing, building, testing and racing a Formula style car in a worldwide student competition. AUMT plans to race an electric Formula SAE car at the 2018 Australasian competition and needs new recruits to do so.

As a part of AUMT, you will be involved in all things engineering related, such as designing and manufacturing vehicle parts and testing our car before the competition. Formula SAE provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in addition to your university courses. It is also a great CV builder, enabling you to develop skills using CAD, CFD and FEA software and to work in a team environment with real deadlines. And, finally, you will have a chance to drive the car!

AUMT is a close working team, which offers fun as well as experience. We hold team bonding events and get to attend various exciting industry and motorsport events promoting our team.

Students from all degrees are welcome at AUMT and no prior automotive experience is necessary. If this opportunity interests you, please email us at for more details on how to apply.
