A Rare Insight into the Reserve Bank of Australia
On Friday 28 October, the School was fortunate to welcome Lynne Cockerell from the research department at Reserve Bank of Australia, who lectured on whether we should be concerned about current account deficits. The lecture was targeted at second and third year undergraduate students, and offered a rare opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to how Australia’s monetary policy institution conducts and uses research. The Reserve Bank was keen to meet students who were interested in taking up an RBA Cadetship. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact Robert McLean, who is the Graduate Recruitment Co-ordinator at the RBA at graduates@rba.gov.au or visit their website.
