The topic: The bees knees: The importance of pollinators and their recent decline.

Given that a third of global farm output depends on animal pollination, mostly by honey bees, this is certainly a critical issue.

Corey Bradshaw recently featured prominently in international news for his research paper entitled “Human population reduction is not a quick fix for environmental problems” check out the blog post for a summary and link to the PNAS paper.

You may also be interested in the vodcast of Franck Courchamp’s recent seminar. Franck is one of Corey’s collaborators and visited Adelaide from Paris earlier this month. In his seminar, Franck discusses relationships between invasive insects and climate change.
