The Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES) conference is coming to Adelaide. Put it in your diary for 6-9 February 2018.
The 2018 theme is: Abundance in an Era of Scarcity? Challenges and Opportunities for Australasian Agriculture, Environment, Food, Resources and Agribusiness.
Each year the conference aims to highlight the latest economic research and policy innovations in the areas of agriculture, environment, food, resource and agribusiness. The 2018 conference will offer a forum for applied and theoretical economists to gather along with industry and policy makers to share experiences and draw insights. We will learn ways to create opportunities to achieve rising and shared prosperity while better managing the natural environment in our region and beyond.
We welcome contributions (and registrations) from researchers (including inter- or cross- disciplinary teams) and from policy makers and practitioners.
Registrations for the conference will open in October 2017.
For more information or to submit an abstract/paper/poster head to the conference website. Selected paper submissions are due by 18 September 2017 and Contributed paper and poster submissions are due by 23 October 2017.
Updates are also posted on Twitter, follow @AARES_Inc to get the latest.
The organising committee (staff from the Centre for Global Food and Resources and the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide and the School of Commerce at the University of South Australia) are planning an “SA”mazing social program for you and look forward to welcoming you to the conference in Adelaide.
