Opportunity Knock for Women in Research | Sarah Robertson

RESEARCH institutes are missing out on opportunities and fresh perspectives by not addressing the declining proportion of women in leadership roles, the newly appointed director of the Robinson Institute in Adelaide says. Sarah Robertson, who will take up her post early next month, criticised the way fellowships and senior positions were awarded, saying the process did not take into account mid-career childbearing.
