National Dialogue: The Role of the Private Sector in Development and Aid for Trade

The Institute for International Trade hosted a national dialogue on The Role of the Private Sector in Development and Aid for Trade on July 19, 2013.

The dialogue brought together representatives from the private sector, universities, non-governmental organisations and government – state and federal – to discuss a range of issues and challenges related to private sector involvement in sustainable economic development and poverty alleviation.

The National Dialogue was opened by the University of Adelaide’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Warren Bebbington.

Keynote addresses were by Senator Penny Wong, the Hon. Julie Bishop MP. and Peter Baxter (Director General of AusAID)
