As a trial, during Semester 2, the Library will no longer apply demerit points to overdue items. Existing demerit points are being removed where possible and suspensions have been lifted.
With the removal of the demerit point system we are tightening up our replacement invoice processes to target late return of items that impact and disadvantage other library users.
Very overdue items will be considered lost and you will be invoiced for the replacement cost, including a non – refundable $30 handling fee. High use items, (Reserve and recalled items) not returned will be invoiced within 1 -2 weeks.
We will continue to send courtesy and overdue notices. Please continue to renew your loans on receipt of these notifications.
