How is that for timing!

Barr Smith Library Level 3 will be open 24 hours a day from Monday 24th July.

University of Adelaide students (and staff) will be able to access Level 3 at any time. You will need your University ID card to access the Hub, but once you’re in the Hub you can simply walk on through to Level 3 of the Library (the doors will be open! Hurrah!) and use the study facilities, including the easy-to-use scanner. At this stage the High Use Collection won’t be open 24-hours (so you will need to use that vital Biology textbook before the regular Library closing time).

Please speak to an Ask Library team member if you would like to know more about the extended hours, and let us know what you think about the change!

Booklet_coverDigital capabilities are critical to students’ academic success and the career success of graduates.

Their future work will require them to find, assess and create increasingly complex multimedia digital resources, necessitating the integration of technical competence and critical thinking skills.

The Digital Capabilities @ Adelaide project has developed a flexible framework comprising six elements to support the development of our students’ digital capabilities. To find out more, you can now download the framework booklet, Developing Digitally Capable Graduates.

This Friday (July 21st) will see the launch of this framework at the Festival of Learning and Teaching, Come and see us there to ask questions, join in discussions, or just check out the displays!
