Mr Timothy Atkinson and Professor Warren Bebbinton

Congratulations to Mechatronics student Timothy Atkinson who was successful in receiving one of 12 Honours scholarships from the Playford Trust in 2015. The scholarships are offered annually to South Australian recipients who are studying an Honours program at one of the three South Australian Universities. Each South Australian University is allocated four of the scholarships worth $5, 000 each.

The World Solar Challenge is a design competition to find the world’s most efficient electric car and will start in Darwin on Sunday 18 October and finish on 25 October 2015 in Adelaide.

View the AUSRT’s website to find out more about the Solar Car project, and the team’s progress in the lead up to the World Solar Challenge. The Solar Car will also be showcased at Ingenuity 2015 which exhibits university student projects exploring the dynamic world and applications of engineering, computer and mathematical sciences on Tuesday 27 October 2015.
