Today the Law School had a visit from Ms Raelene Webb QC, President of the National Native Title Tribunal. President Webb QC is a highly experienced and regarded lawyer who has appeared in many leading native title cases, including Miriuwung Gajerrong (Ward v Western Australia) and the Torres Strait Sea Claim. Ms Webb QC has appeared for a range native title parties including applicants, the Commonwealth, and State and Territory Governments. Aboriginal students from the Adelaide Law School were invited to meet President Webb at a morning tea to welcome Ms Webb and to listen to her guest lecture on Native Title in the Horace Lamb Lecture Theatre.
