A group of 12 students including 8 Aboriginal students attended the 4 day World Indigenous Law Conference hosted by the Seventh Generation Fund at the University of California, Irvine, at the Beckman Centre. The Tour was led by A/P Grenfell (Law) and Mr Sebastian Lowery (Wirltu Yarlu) and six scholarships were generously funded by the Law Foundation of SA Inc. The students heard from some of North America’s leading Indigenous thinkers and lawyers and met Indigenous peoples from around the world.

The Faculty of the Professions and the Law School would like to thank the Seventh Generation Fund, Wirltu Yarlu and the Law Foundation of SA Inc. Those students who benefitted from scholarships will make a presentation on the Conference at the End of Year Event of the Indigenous Law Students Mentoring Programme hosted by the Law Society of South Australia.
