Professor Dogan Tirtiroglu joined the University of Adelaide Business School as a Professor of Finance and Chair of Banking in June 2008. He is a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Advanced Studies Institute in the U.S. and an affiliated researcher of the Financial Mathematics group of the Institute of Applied Mathematics at the Middle East Technical University, Turkey.

Professor Tirtiroglu has wide research interests, mainly in banking, corporate finance and real estate finance. His research has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Financial Management, the Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, Advances in Financial Economics, Real Estate Economics, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Housing Economics, Journal of Real Estate Literature, Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, Journal of Economics and Finance, Applied Economics, Journal of Property Finance, Appraisal Journal, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, and Studies in Economics and Finance.
