South Australian Regional Gaming Machine Database Updated for 2012/13 Data

The SA Centre for Economic Studies electronic gaming machine database has been updated to include data for the 2012/13 financial year. The database provides regional information on gaming machine activity in hotels and clubs, including the number of machines and venues, gambling expenditure and taxation revenue. The database is compiled from data sourced from Consumer and Business Services and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

A notable feature of the current release is that historical adult population estimates have been revised using an improved estimation methodology and updated population estimates published by the ABS.

The Centre is currently in the process of obtaining gambling data from Consumer and Business Services to update the database for the 2013/14 financial year.

The database can be downloaded from SACES’s gambling portal website.
