10 BQ – Puzzle has life of its own

What is life?  Well, it is not until you start to look really closely and pick objects that are bit harder to put into the living versus the non-living categories.

It turns out that scientists have been pondering this question for quite a while. Most agree that there are four essential criteria that any candidate organisms must satisfy before they can be considered “living”.
