International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)

On Wednesday the 17th of May, Hub Central hosted the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). The day included free sprinkle donuts, Pride in Sport shoelaces and the hanging of chain-links in the form of a rainbow flag where staff and students were encouraged to add to the visual installation as a sign of solidarity and commitment to LGBTIQ people. The instillation will remain in the HUB until Friday afternoon. The University’s Ally Network was also launched a visible network of staff and students who are committed to providing an inclusive and respectful environment for people who identify as LGBTIQ.
