Nepal exhibition 16/05/2014

Over the last summer, a group of 20 students (2nd years) enrolled in our Bachelor of Architectural Design program had an opportunity to visit Nepal, where they travelled to various remote communities and helped design and build essential community structures. This project was organised in collaboration with Architects Without Frontiers and Aussie Action Abroad to introduce students to the responsibilities of architects in the context of international humanitarian aid. As a part of this trip, the students were also able to gain an understanding of the local architectural heritage and visit several important architectural sites including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bhaktapur.

An exhibition was held on Friday 16 May 2014 where the students will be able to showcase the work they did on this trip and generally share their wonderful experience of travelling in Nepal.
