On Wednesday 6 May the School of Architecture and Built Environment hosted the inaugural Tertiary Talk seminar at the Adelaide Oval.
At the event Career Counsellors, Design Teachers and few students heard from our Head of School, Professor George Zillante about the range of careers that our degrees lead to. Attendees also had the opportunity to view the 3D model, created by our own students and take a tour of the Adelaide Oval.
With around 50 people in attendance it was great to have the opportunity to speak to this important audience about our degrees and for them to see first-hand the 3D model our students worked so hard on. By having the event at the Adelaide Oval, which incidentally was procured by our graduates, it gave us the opportunity to showcase the strong link between our degrees, the hands on application of the skills and knowledge learned and our strong ties to local industry.
Attendees also got to hear from Esther Yong, who along with Patrick Scott built the 3D model on display. Esther spoke about her experiences in studying Architecture at Adelaide.
We hope to increase this engagement with Career Counsellors and Teachers, and really enjoyed getting the opportunity to spend some time speaking with them about the work we do. Thank you for coming along!
