Architectural Master Class with Glenn Murcutt

Eco Outdoor is holding an Architectural Master Class with Glenn Murcutt. The Glenn Murcutt Master Class is an innovative two-week design programme held in September that has become a major annual event on the global architecture calendar.

The first week is held at ‘Riversdale’, the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre on the stunning Shoalhaven River south of Sydney. Participants live and breathe in what has been described as Glenn’s ‘Master Work’, spend time in the company of Glenn himself and experience private tours of some of his most distinguished projects.

For the second week of the Masterclass, the Eco Outdoor Waterloo showroom is transformed into a hive of architectural innovation and inspiration, as participants undertake a design project, with Glenn personally running the rule over the class.

2018 STUDENT INTERN COMPETITION

This year, Eco Outdoor will be offering a student an intern role to assist at the Masterclass during the entire second week of the program. The competition is open to any student in Australia who is currently participating in the Architectural Master’s Degree at an Australian University.

The Intern will be assigned to a group of Masterclass participants and work alongside them throughout the second week to assist with their final project. The intern will be an integral part of the team assisting with drawings, sourcing materials, making models and subject to the critiquing process by the tutors Glenn Murcutt, Peter Stutchbury, Brit Andresen, Richard Leplastrier and Lindsay Johnston.

The winner of the competition will receive an all-expenses paid trip – including flights, accommodation and food allowance – and the amazing opportunity to participate in this annual event. Not only will they get to meet some of the world’s best architects, they will also have an opportunity to represent their university.
