Improving thermal comfort of older South Australians – Soebarto, ARC Discovery Project (2018-2020)

About the Project

The study investigates the links between weather, house design, energy use and the well-being of South Australians over the age of 65 with the aim of producing policy and design guidelines about comfort in the home for people as they age.

The three-year Australian Research Council Discovery Project is being led by University of Adelaide researchers in architecture, public health, and gerontology, in conjunction with an expert from The Hague University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. We are currently seeking participants to have their house monitored – to help us understand the house design, the indoor environment and the occupants’ comfort.  If you are 65 years or over and want to be involved, please contact us.
