Three Minute Thesis Competition Entries Open

Wondering how to explain your thesis at parties? What should you say when your family asks what you do all day?

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition provides an ideal opportunity to develop communication skills and prepare a short answer on your thesis. 3MT challenges Higher Degree by Research students to explain their research project to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes. Entries are now open, and prize money is up for grabs, including $3000 for the University winner and $700 in prizes for Faculty winners.

To learn more about 3MT before signing up, you are invited to attend the 3MT Information Session. We will provide tips on how to present your work in ways that help people understand why your research excites and interests you. The session will also include skills development for writing abstracts and oral presentations.
