International Convention of Asia Scholars

The Department of Asian Studies is pleased to be the prime mover behind the Ninth Biennial International Convention of Asia Scholars Conference (ICAS), which is to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 5-9 July 2015. This will be the largest Asian Studies conference ever held in Australia as well as the one of the largest social science and humanities conferences.

With the support of the University of South Australia and Flinders University, ICAS9 features an unprecedented mix of organisations and world famous experts while incorporating special panels on Interculturality, business updates for China, South Asia, South East Asia as well as unprecedented joint ICAS-OzAsia Keynote Speaker, Mme Mari Pangetsu, one of Indonesia’s leading female intellectuals and former government minister.
