This study tour will enable students to gain in-country insights into the history, politics and identity of Singapore, and will create opportunities for students to develop links between Australia and Singapore. The program consists of preparatory seminars held at the University of Adelaide, followed by a two-week study tour in Singapore. The tour will include a wide range of activities structured around two parts: the first focuses of the history of Singapore and its place in Asia and the Indo-Pacific; the second focuses on the internal politics and citizenship dynamics of Singapore.
The overall program runs from 23 November to 12 December, 2015. The study tour component in Singapore goes from 30 November to 12 December.
The basic information can be found in the program brochure prepared by Global Learning. The cost is $3400 + airfare. Students can apply for up to $7635 in OS-HELP funding to cover the cost, airfare and personal expenses. For more information, come to one of the two information sessions or contact Dr Benito Cao.
