18 Aug: Student Movie Night Competition – Vote for your favourite!

Climate change is a big problem, but what do we do about it?

Students from The Enquiring Mind (semester 1, 2016) have developed videos to present potential solutions to Climate Change from the perspective of big players in the global debate. Some of these videos are so great they’ll be screened at the Inaugural Solving Climate Change Movie Night during the Beacon Conference of Undergraduate Research.

6.30 pm – 10.00 pm
Thursday 18 August
Scott Theatre, The University of Adelaide

ALL WELCOME staff, students, friends, familty and public

In line with the The Enquiring Mind’s focus on freedom and democracy, the first place winners will be selected by popular choice on the night. This means that the audience have a direct say in who wins. The first prize is $1000 cash to be split between the winning team members. Therefore, teams are encouraged to bring supporters to help get them over the line. There will be two runner-up prizes of $250 selected by panels of experts.

We encourage you to bring along as many people as you can to help celebrate the achievements of students, and of course to get extra votes for your own video!

If you have any questions about the competition or the Movie Night, please email

The competition itself is open to all students who submitted a Team Video Presentation in The Enquiring Mind in Semester 1, 2016. For further information, check your emails or log into the MyUni course for that semester and look at the ‘Movie Night Competition’ folder.
