Elder Conservatorium classical guitar students continue their immersive cultural journey through South Korea

After five busy days of performances, masterclasses and rehearsals at the 3rd Korean International Guitar Festival in Yangpyeong, the Elder Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble as well as third year student James Rawley as soloist were selected to perform in the festival’s closing concert.

Staff member Oliver Fartach-Naini and ten of his classical guitar students will continue their study tour in Seoul. Apart from masterclasses classes at the prestigious Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, their programme includes traditional Korean music concerts and a range of activities with South Korean university students.

To conclude this exciting venture the group will travel to the very south of the country for another concert performance in Tongyeong, one of Adelaide’s partner cities within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN).
