Two semester-long programs with applications closing soon!

Development Studies Immersion Program at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta

($5,000 Mobility Grants Available) (Applications due 15 March 2018)

This program allows students to spend a semester gaining valuable first-hand experience working in the field of international development. Students undertake six weeks of Indonesian Language tuition (at beginners, intermediate or advanced level) followed by either a two-month supervised and assessed field placement in a Javanese village in partnership with Gadjah Mada University’s (UGM) Institute for Research and Community Services, or an internship placement working in community-based development organisation. Flexible Language Immersion Program at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta

($5,000 Mobility Grants Available) (Applications due 15 March 2018)

This program is ACICIS’ largest and longest standing in-country study program. Hosted by one of Indonesia’s premier universities, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), the Flexible Language Immersion Program offers participants great flexibility in designing a study program to meet home university equivalency requirements or to suit a student’s personal interests. Students can choose a mix of Indonesian language classes and other regular curriculum immersion subjects from a variety of UGM faculties, according to the language ability and interests of the student.
