The School of Biological Sciences Annual Postgraduate Symposium will be held on Thursday 20 July 2017. The Symposium will incorporate School heats for the Three Minute Thesis competition.
This will be a great opportunity to present highlights of your research in a range of formats to a broad audience, and to develop valuable skills in science communication.
All second and third year HDR candidates are expected to present a talk or poster, and all other postgraduate students to attend the event
- Second year candidates are asked to present a poster on their research, and be available to discuss their work during informal sessions throughout the day. Posters are to be in portrait layout with a maximum size of 1m wide by 1.2m high (A0).
- Third year candidates are asked to present a 3 minute talk on their research. This may be in 3 Minute Thesis format (see https://sciences.adelaide.edu.au/3mt/) or more conventional science conference-style format. If you are unable to present in person for unavoidable reasons, you are asked to submit a 3 minute video of your talk.
(If you have already presented one of these at a previous event, please nominate for the other. All HDR candidates are expected to present both a poster and short talk at some time during their candidature).
Prizes will be awarded for winning posters, research and 3 Minute Thesis talks.
Please register your talk or poster for the Symposium with Alana Donnelly (email@example.com) or Ayla van Loenen (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 30 June 2017 with the following details: Name, Title; Poster/talk/3MT talk
