The University is asking for your assistance in hosting activities for outreach programs to collaborating high schools. The Bright Sparks, Science Academy and Student Ambassador outreach programs aim to educate and engage school-aged students in STEM subjects. The objective is to network with students, preparing them for tertiary studies and future employment in the science domain.
Your role as an HDR will be to travel to participating schools, or, host a tour for a small group of students at the Uni (this can be a tour of your lab) and to talk to the students, describing your tertiary experience.
Your involvement is not compulsory but would be appreciated. Your participation will count towards CaRST hours. For more information see the following links, or if you wish to get involved, you can email Nicole who runs the Student Ambassador program (firstname.lastname@example.org).
