REDARC, a South Australian manufacturer of high-end components, which represents the future of Australian manufacturing, was named tonight as the 2014 Telstra Australian Business of the Year.

Owner Anthony, was an MBA student of Adelaide University and graduated in 1993. After 4 years, Anthony and Michelle Kittle took over a small struggling electronics business, and immediately introduced a culture of innovation and skills training, transforming it into an Australian owned and  diversified manufacturer of electronic accessories and power sources.

Redarc also has a distribution arm in France, sells its products into countries from Iceland to Spain and has medium term plans to design and manufacture in the US.

Will Irving, Group Managing Director of Telstra Business and Telstra Business Awards Ambassador, described Redarc as trail-blazers who excelled in their ability to be brilliantly different and change industries by either creating new businesses or thinking about old business models in new ways.
