Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition (Hanyu Qiao)


The Confucius Institute welcomes all school groups/classes and interested members of the community to register to attend the final session of the 2012 Hanyu Qiao competition to be held in Adelaide.


  • Date: July 27
  • Time: 9am – 1pm (tbc)
  • Venue: Bonython Hall, the University of Adelaide, North Terrace

The performance includes:

  • ‘Cultural’ performances from competing high school students (singing, dancing, martial arts, calligraphy, musical items, etc.) from SA, WA, NT and ACT
  • Selected Chinese speeches from contestants
  • Guest performances, including a martial arts demonstration

It is suitable for high school students and upper primary school students and anyone who is interested in Chinese language and culture.  We hope the competition can serve as inspiration and motivation for students to maintain their enthusiasm about learning Chinese.
