School of Languages Celebration of Achievement Award Night

The School of Languages teaches 25 languages including Chinese to more than 1100 students from over 140 schools and colleges across the state that cannot study their language of choice at their own school.

On 26th November, Chinese Co-director Dr. Yang Guang attended the Celebration of Achievement Awards 2013 organized by School of Languages, and presented “The Confucius Institute Award” to Mr. Jamie Tze-Yan Yeung from Glenunga International High School for his outstanding achievements in studying Chinese.

Ms Lia Tedesco, Principal of School of Languages addressed the ceremony, professor Ghil’ad Zukermann, Chair of Linguistic and Endangered Languages at the University of Adelaide gave speech on language learning as guest speaker.

The Confucius Institute is proud to be a partner of the School of Languages in supporting SA students studying Chinese across the state.
