At this event, the Confucius Institute at the University of Adelaide and City of Onkaparinga highlighted the work that is being undertaken to grow business and tourism opportunities with China. This is the third session as part of the Confucius Institute Business in China Series. Launched in 2014 by the Confucius Institute, this series provides the business community, government officials and entrepreneurs in South Australia and across the nation with information-sharing panels, VIP speakers, and networking forums to keep Australian leaders at the forefront of Australia-China business relations.
‘Onkaparinga growing business and tourism opportunities with China’ showcased and provided a unique insight to the various ways in which a local government, tourism association and local tourism operators are working in the China market to further grow their tourism and business opportunities. Speakers included Mark Dowd, CEO – City of Onkaparinga; Marc Allgrove, Consultant CEO – McLaren Vale Grape Wine and Tourism Association; Tim Nicholls – Red Dolls Wines and Richard Dolan, General Manager – Pertaringa Winery.
