Big turnout for first China Briefing of the year

On Friday the 17th of February the Confucius Institute held our first China Briefing for 2017.

澳大利亚阿德莱德孔子学院成功举办2016年度孔院日公开讲座

        9月30日晚,在宏伟富丽的阿德莱德庆典中心举行了一场题为“翻译中的遗失:美国摇滚乐的跨境传播与的中国摇滚图谱”的学术讲座,这场由阿德莱德大学孔子学院主办的高端论坛,既是阿大孔院2016年孔子学院日的一场重要活动,也是为期一个多月的2016年阿德莱德澳亚艺术节(OzAsia Festival)重要文化项目之一。来自北京外国语大学的滕继萌教授担任主讲嘉宾,阿德莱德大学孔子学院院长高默波教授主持活动。
        全球化语境下的流行乐坛为文化研究学者提供了深入研究“接受与表征”等问题的想象空间。滕继萌教授以此为假设,以当代中国流行乐坛为场域研究探讨二十世纪六十年代美国摇滚乐对于不同历史分期的中国摇滚乐的潜在影响。美国流行音乐特别是民谣摇滚乐种的输入与意义解码对于早期中国流行乐坛,特别是早期摇滚乐作为青年亚文化的发展历程,产生了巨大影响,以及他们对于九十年代、乃至21世纪中国特色摇滚,如“唐朝乐队”回归传统音乐乃至文学“重金属”的出现与发展范式的变迁也具有投射作用,进而促使新生代摇滚音乐人重新构建其发展路径与图谱,并为中国流行音乐进入世界流行音乐殿堂夯定了基础。围绕着中美摇滚乐的主题,滕教授层层深入,娓娓道来,并配以多张包括崔健、唐朝乐队摇滚音乐的精美图示,使到场聆听讲座的上百位听众享受了一场精彩的视听盛宴。
        借助澳亚艺术节这一平台,本期论坛获得南澳各界听众的热情参与。人们在主题演讲后纷纷踊跃提问,问题主要集中于美国摇滚乐传播到中国以后,是否缺失了摇滚乐的重要特质,即反叛性 — 以音乐表达对现实的不满。滕教授认为中国的摇滚乐中也包含着反抗因素,例如崔健的《一无所有》所体现与现实社会价值观的对抗。他指出,六十年代美国的政经生态条件促使音乐与社会变革运动相互交织,并最终成为社会进步的重要源泉。中国的摇滚音乐也一直在中国孕育和成长,如同中国社会一直在变化中进步一样。主持人高默波教授也补充指出,正是因为中国是一个尊重且鼓励多种声音、努力发展多元文化的社会,才使得兴起于美国的摇滚乐在中国得到了较为自由和充分的发展。
        滕继萌教授主要研究美国历史和社会文化,著有《Music-Made America: Popular Music since 1960’s》一书。
        澳大利亚阿德莱德孔子学院于2007年正式运营,中方承办院校为山东大学。阿德莱德大学孔子学院致力于通过开设高水准学术项目帮助南澳民众加深对中国的了解。其中,“当代中国高端论坛”(China Briefing)和“年度公开讲座”(Annual Public Lecture)是阿大孔院的旗舰项目,,提供关于中国最新经济、政治、文化及其他南澳公众关心的热点话题探讨。每期论坛均由孔子学院邀请各领域世界知名专家主讲,面向公众开设,在南澳地区取得了积极反响。
