Congratulations to CSER Researcher and Computer Science Lecturer, Dr Nickolas Falkner, who has been awarded a 2015 University of Adelaide Stephen Cole the Elder Award for Excellence in Teaching!
The prizes are awarded annually to academic staff whose teaching is regarded by students and academic colleagues as being of excellent quality. The Stephen Cole the Elder Prizes (now Awards) were first presented in 1991, and are the University of Adelaide’s premier teaching awards.
Dr Falkner is dedicated to ensuring students are inspired, engaged and supported in their Computer Science learning experience at the university. Dr Falkner has expertise in Puzzle-Based Learning approaches and active learning pedagogies. Dr Nick Falkner encourages students to learn and demonstrate knowledge through solving open-ended and relevant problems.
