Dr Claudia Szabo and Professor Anton van den Hengel were winners at the 2017 South Australian Science Excellence Awards!

Claudia has won the 2017 STEM Educator of the Year – Tertiary Teaching Award. The STEM Educator of the Year Award recognises effective teachers who are critical to successful science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education and developing students’ knowledge and ability in STEM.

Anton leads the Australian Centre for Visual Technologies (ACVT) which, in collaboration with LBT Innovations, won the Excellence in Research Collaboration Award for their work on “Developing a world leading intelligent medical device in South Australia”. This award is open to collaborative consortia that have shown excellence in collaboration where a significant benefit has already been or is being delivered between researchers and users of research which could lead to economic, social or environmental benefits for South Australia.
