We are seeking an enthusiastic Research Assistant/Associate to join our Computer Science Education Research (CSER) Group!
CSER explores how to understand and improve the learning and teaching of Computing, and the application of Computing to solve problems within the education domain. This research position will be involved in CSER’s K-12 Digital Technologies education research stream, to help understand how we can support and improve learning and teaching of Computing in primary and secondary contexts, with a particular focus on assessment.
This project aims to develop our understanding of student learning indicators and trajectories across K-10 CS education and appropriate assessment methods. This project will involve a review of K-10 CS education research literature related to assessment and the curation and review of existing assessment materials, that will lead to the development of practical assessment resources for teachers.
We seek someone with an undergraduate qualification in Education, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas and demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Assessment, Introductory Programming, primary or secondary Education, Computer Science Education.
It is possible that this position can be undertaken remotely with the person being based in another state or territory in Australia, and can be negotiated during the interview phase.
